Well, as I said I _do_ have 9p running but at the cost of disabling sandbox
<qyliss>
Plan for today: post what I have so far, then keep trying to build sommelier. The Chromium OS platform2 build system is horrible. I might have to finally get around to setting up a Chromium OS chroot to figure out how it's supposed to work.

Cool, thanks. Oooh, it is not even a stripped-down kernel

Been doing the thing to set up all the Chromium repositories locally for _hours_. No sign of it being done. :D
<IdleBot_5e50c57d>
_all_ of Chromium repos? It is like a terabyte of trash, right?
<qyliss>
Chromium OS, I mean
<qyliss>
But yes, it's largely unnecessary
<qyliss>
But having access to the development environment they expect me to be using is going to make things a lot easier, and this is the path of least resistance.

Unless it is larger than your HDD!

I wonder if vncserver is actually an easier way to get a prototype
<qyliss>
It might well be
<qyliss>
But I'd like to see if I can get this working.
<qyliss>
I do have a hard limit on how much time I can spend on this, though, to make sure I don't sink a year into it -- I'd run out of money
<IdleBot_5e50c57d>
And I am not sure we can have VM-to-VM shared buffers easily anyway (same for vsock, actually)
<IdleBot_5e50c57d>
(which just increases the cost of having proper VM-running compositor)
