I totally understand that. I don't think I've submitted a single PR to nixpkgs where I haven't amended the commit message after pushing (but before opening the PR)

Depends on what you call stakes; an unclear PR can be not so much rejected as ignored forever; I do not think that being ignored by the subscribers realistically threatens any TWIS email.
